Being married for the last (nearly) 8 years I have no fun answers. So I decided to bend the rules a bit. Hypothetical of course.

1. Would you date someone who smokes and drinks?
While I know that both drinking and smoking have detrimental effects on ones health, there is no greater pleasure than  chain smoking over stimulating conversation and a good bottle of wine (or 4 shots of tequilla). When I met Jason we both smoked, and we both drink, occaisionally. So, yes, sure, no problem.

2. Would you date someone who was addicted to drugs?
Addiction has so many shades of grey. I have some pretty addictive tendencies, I’ve just been fortunate enough to channel them into things like fabric and the occasional dance with prescription pharmaceuticals.  My husband is pretty much addicted to gaming, and whether I tolerate that addiction or smash his games and bury his laptop just depends on my mood. However, I really don’t find pockmarks and pasty white skin that attractive, so I probably wouldn’t dig a drug addict in the first place. Unless it was House. Meow.

3. Would you date someone who was outside your race?
Considering I’m a healthy melting pot of Hungarian Jew, English, Irish and Chickasaw Indian the only way to date within my race would be to date my brother. So, a big YES on that.

4. Whats your biggest turn on, physically?
Eye contact. I’m just short of autistic with my level of discomfort at looking people in the eye. But anyone I’ve ever been attracted to has managed to catch my eye. Its like a little mind flirt.

5. Would you have sex w/ someone you weren’t dating?
I have, and it wasn’t satisfying. In the right situation maybe, but it seems an awful lot of trouble for something I can accomplish myself.

6. Most hurtful relationship?
The times when I was too immature to be myself, and to stay true to myself. Live and learn.

7. Ever regretted breaking up with someone?
Every single one has taught me something, so no. When ya ain’t feeling it ya ain’t feeling it.

8. Have you ever dated someone more than once?
Yeah. Not a great idea.

9. Do you miss any of your exes?
Not particularly, I am more comfortable having fond memories.

10. If you could go on ONE DATE with any celebrity, who would it be?
John Krasinski. Except he would never be attracted to me so that might be disappointing. I could just stare at him for awhile.

11. What’s your relationship status?
Mated for Life!

12. What’s the corniest thing someone you dated did for you?
Told me I was really inspiring him to become a better person. I think he looked that line up on the internet or something.

13. Last time you got flowers?
Long time ago, but honestly I don’t like getting dead plants. Live plants, absolutely!

14. Are you ready to get into a serious relationship right now?
No, I’m happy with our level of seriousness.

15. Do you like cuddling?
Sometimes. I like wrestling more.

16. Do you hold grudges?
I can, though I try my best to work out whatever negative feelings I have internally.

17. Do you regret dating anyone?
Not really. I should have dated more when I was single, but I ended up with the best so I’m happy!

18. Hugger or kisser?
Kiss kiss.

19. Missing someone?
Lucky enough not to.

20. Most important lesson you’ve learned from dating?
Someone who makes you laugh and think is worth infinitely more than someone who just gives you a lot of drama.

21. Are you happier single or in a relationship?
Mated.

22. Whats the most important thing in a relationship?
The ability to fight well. Everyone fights, but the trick is to argue, disagree, LOUDLY DISCUSS, etc. with respect, honesty and the ability to be flexible enough to allow that once in a great while, you may actually be wrong. Not me, you.

23. What would make you break up w/ someone…no questions asked?
If they had pictures of the Oak Ridge Boys taped to the back of their closet with lipstick marks all over them. Ew.

24. Have you ever loved someone who didn’t love you back?
Of course! Kinda sucked, but I got over it.

25. How important are looks?
They are important, its just biology. Pheromones and all that jazz. Looks = Lust, and a little lust is never a bad thing.

26. How do you know when you are in love?
I don’t know. Honestly. When I met my husband i went crazy, I wanted nothing more than to be with him and I felt really sappy and dreamy and goofy. He still makes me goofy and sappy, so I guess thats love.

27. Do you consider yourself shy?
Not really shy, just awkward and uncomfortable. Super hot!

28. Would you rather date someone who was SUPER-HOT or someone SUPER-NICE?
Does the super nice guy have a goiter? Does he have a private jet? Does the super hot guy smell like salami?

29. Have you ever been turned down or turned someone down?
I’ve never been turned down but mainly because I rarely approached anyone. I’m sure I would have been rejected a lot more if I was braver. I’ve turned people down, and it never felt good. But forcing myself to spend time with someone always felt worse.

30. Have you ever been ashamed of anyone you were dating?
Yeah. I was really young though, and totally right to be ashamed.

31. Do you currently want to date anyone?
Jason and I have a whole series of date vacations planned out. Hawaii, Amsterdam & Europe, South America. We’re there! Anyway I’m content with dinner out every once in awhile as long as I have a partner willing to dream with me.

32. Thing that made you the happiest today?
Realizing its football day so I can totally make my husband fold all the laundry while he watches TV.

33. Would you ever date anyone your parents disapproved of?
I have and it sucked. I love my parents, and it wouldn’t be worth my time.

34. Do you stay friends w/ the people you date?
I’m on friendly terms with one. The others I haven’t seen in years and years. And thats fine with me.

35. Would you fight over someone you wanted to be with?
Like fistfight? or Karate? Maybe some Greco Roman wrestling?

36. Do you kiss on the 1st date?
Maybe. Wouldn’t you like to know?

37. Would you date someone A LOT older or younger than you?
My husband is 6 years older, but before I met him I went on a couple of dates with someone 10 years older than me. I’ve always been more comfortable with older people.

38. Does the person you currently like know you like them?
He suspects I may have feelings for him…

39. Ever been cheated on?
I dunno, and it doesn’t matter really!

40. Do you think the word ‘love’ is overused?
Yes. I prefer the term infatuated. “I’m really infatuated with the new White Stripes album”.

41. Ever been called a whore?
I don’t think so. I’m not particularly whorish. Unless I need money. Capitalism baby!

42. Favorite memory with an ex?
Concerts! Always fun…

43. If someone cheated on you, would you take them back if you really loved them?
If it was someone I wasn’t really in love with anyway, no. Deal breaker. If it was a mistake, or an action taken because of wierd feelings in our relationship, probably. It would depend on the situation. I’m sure I would spit fire for awhile.
