Guess what? Shirring is fun! Want to do it? Go get some elastic thread. Wind your bobbin by hand. Seriously, don’t try and do it with your machine or you’ll just have a big mess to contend with when you get down to sewing. Next, figure out how far down you want your shirring to go and start sewing horizontal rows across your fabric. Pretty soon you’ll have a lovely, stretchy piece to work with!
