Happy Birthday Dude!
by lazys ~ February 14th, 2008. Filed under: Life & Other Adventures.Ozzie turned 7 today. I know. I’m way too young & hot to have a 7 year old. But children have this pesky habit of growing up, no matter what.
Today we went to Funworks for a little playtime and he chose a “Grillz” candy/fake gangsta teeth thing as his prize. I asked him to pose like a gangster and this is what he came up with:
Apparently he thinks gangsters change into wolves on the night of a full moon.
Ozzie is a cool kid. Imaginative & very musical, with a mind like a steel trap. He’s got an innate sense of compassion & understanding for others that I wish I could take credit for, but I think it comes to him pretty naturally. He’s an excellent big brother and is a great student. And this kid can dance! His father and I are very proud and honored to help him grow into the person he is meant to be and we love him from the bottom of our hearts. If there is one tiny shred of evidence in the entire universe that would make me believe in God, my children would be it. They are so different from anything I imagined (in my pre-kid days, ha!) they would be and at the same time I can’t imagine them being any other way. Motherhood is something I try not to take for granted. I worry about it, occaisionally flip out about it and mostly just wing it. And so far, it’s worked.
And he is living proof.
