Immuno Girl, At Your Service
by lazys ~ February 27th, 2008. Filed under: Life & Other Adventures.I’ve been hibernating and enjoying the last bout of winter storms (maybe!), curled up with several new books and whittling down my DVR list. Now its sunshiny and beautiful outside, both the kids have something nasty (I picked up a 100 degree temp sporting Ozzie from the nurses office and she told me 7 kids had gone home sick from his class. Great.) and I’m force feeding them organic raw honey and any vitamin C containing fruit or veggie I can get them to choke down. I scoffed at that Deceptively Delicious book, mainly because homegirl is like, a bazillionaire and somehow I can’t imagine her actually cooking. But whatever, there are some pretty good recipes in there. Also, I’ve been steaming and pureeing veggies and putting them in everything since my kids were babies, but I always felt slightly skeevy about it. I mean, how are they ever going to learn to eat healthy if I never put an actual carrot on their plates? Except, left to themselves they would subsist on peanut butter, yogurt and goldfish.
Other than that, I’ve been:

Making warm, fuzzy quilts…

Exploring delicious vegetarian recipes…

Gardening…

And whipping up some super cute kid size aprons, available very soon at Ebb N’ Flow!
This weekend we are celebrating our 8th anniversary with a weekend getaway, including a visit to the Bodies Revealed exhibit. Because there is nothing more romantic than dead bodies!
