Magellan Is My CoPilot

A few weeks ago, on our anniversary weekend getaway, Jason and I found ourselves lost. Again.

We are notorious for getting lost, ending up 50 miles from where we are supposed to be somehow. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve found some pretty neat off-the-beaten-path type places that way, but we also lose a lot of time. Since Jason is having to drive all over the valley as well to meet with clients, we figured a GPS system is the way to go. How did it work out? Pretty awesome. For one thing, I can find somewhere to pee no matter where we are. If we take a wrong turn or fail to get to our exit, it just recalculates our route. Very nice.

Tomorrow we will be putting it to the test with a trip to Redwood City. Jason is taking some classes on Green Building from the Solar Living Institute on Friday and Saturday and the kids and I are going along to keep him company. Friday I will attempt to drive into San Francisco (in my Chevy Silverado complete with Ladder Rack) and arrive at my aunts house. This is where I’m really hoping Magellan won’t let me down… I HATE driving anywhere in the city!!
