I have a new obbsession favorite TV show and I’ve been telling anyone who will listen that they should definitely watch it. But rent the first season on DVD, that way you don’t miss any of the disturbing, gory goodness. As someone who has always had a fairly healthy interest in the darker aspects of humanity, I realize my interest in serial killers is creepy. Then the more I thought about it, I realized I have an interest in a lot of creepy things. Its not like I would actually DO any of these things, its just the sort of thing that piques my curiosity. Such as:

• Cannibals. And the Donner Party. I had to stop reading books about them at bedtime when I realized I was tempted to wake my husband up to go with me when I had to use the bathroom at 11:30 at night.
• Cults. I pretty much count religion in general in this category, but the ones who are convinced they are riding a comet into the sun if they drink the kool-aid are very amusing.
• Organized crime. Not so much anymore, but when I was 12 or 13 I borrowed my uncles Illustrated Guide to Organized Crime and devoured it.
• Taxidermy. Ok, this one I would do. I totally want to put faerie wings on little stuffed mice. How cute!!
