I’m pretty sure I have a disease. You see, I can’t stop redecorating. It always starts the same. I come across some rocking fabric and envision a particular room in my house, completely dressed up around it. I make curtains, perhaps a few matching pillows. Sometimes a slipcover is involved. I sit back, relax and enjoy it for a minute. Until the cycle starts all over again.

A while ago I decided to put some of those wallpaper borders around the windows in my bedroom. Which meant that I needed to make new curtains. But then the quilt no longer matched. Eeeek! I searched and searched, but I just could not find the right sort of fabric for the quilt I wanted. So, I did what anyone perched on the brink of sanity would do… I made an “in the meantime” bedspread.

And guess what? Last week, I found IT. The perfect fabric, just what I had been waiting for. Simple, heavy, pretty and in the perfect colors. And this evening, I finished it.

So. Now the challenge is to leave it alone and just enjoy it. I’m going to see if I can go a year with this one. There’s always the living room right?
